The Remnant Church of Jesus Christ
We believe God  has  told us  to  pray because it is  our communication and life-line to Him.  Through prayer we talk to God; and
God, in turn, talks to us through our conscience and His holy written Word, the Bible.
 (PHILIPPIANS 4:6)  “BE CAREFUL FOR
NOTHING; BUT IN EVERY THING BY PRAYER AND SUPPLICATION WITH THANKSGIVING LET YOUR REQUESTS
BE MADE KNOWN UNTO GOD.”
(PSALM 65:2)  “O THOU THAT HEAREST PRAYER, UNTO THEE SHALL ALL FLESH
COME.”
(PSALM 5:2-3)  (2)  “HEARKEN UNTO THE  VOICE OF  MY CRY,  MY KING, AND MY GOD:  FOR UNTO
THEE WILL I PRAY.  (3)  MY VOICE SHALT THOU HEAR IN THE MORNING, O LORD; IN THE MORNING WILL I
DIRECT MY PRAYER UNTO THEE, AND WILL LOOK UP.”

We believe that God hears and answers prayer always.  Like a good and perfect Father, He does not always answer  “yes” or
“no”, but there are times when He perhaps says:  “We shall see.”
(PSALM 34:4)  “I SOUGHT THE LORD, AND HE HEARD
ME, AND DELIVERED ME FROM ALL MY FEARS:”
(PSALM 6:9)  “THE LORD HATH HEARD MY SUPPLICATION;
THE LORD WILL RECEIVE MY PRAYER.”
(JEREMIAH 29:12)  “THEN SHALL YE CALL UPON ME, AND YE SHALL
GO AND PRAY UNTO ME, AND I WILL HEARKEN UNTO YOU.”
(Psalm 4:3; Psalm 55:17; I John 5:14; Acts 10:4,31).

We believe that we should be in the attitude of prayer always, and we should pray everywhere,
 (I THESSALONIANS 5:17)
“PRAY WITHOUT CEASING.”
(LUKE 18:1)  “AND HE SPAKE A PARABLE UNTO THEM TO THIS END, THAT MEN
OUGHT ALWAYS TO PRAY, AND NOT TO FAINT;”
(I TIMOTHY 2:8)  “I WILL THEREFORE THAT MEN PRAY
EVERY WHERE, LIFTING UP HOLY HANDS, WITHOUT WRATH AND DOUBTING.”
(Luke 21:36; Rom. 12:12; Eph.
6:18).

We believe that whatsoever we ask God in prayer, we must ask in faith,
 (MATTHEW 21:22)  “AND ALL THINGS,
WHATSOEVER YE SHALL ASK IN PRAYER BELIEVING, YE SHALL RECEIVE.”
(MARK 11:24)  “THEREFORE I SAY
UNTO YOU, WHAT THINGS SOEVER YE DESIRE, WHEN YE PRAY, BELIEVE THAT YE RECEIVE THEM, AND YE
SHALL HAVE THEM.”
(I John 5:14-15.)

We  believe  that  when  we  pray  to  our Father in heaven, whatsoever we ask, we must ask in the name of Jesus Christ, our
Lord,
(JOHN 16:23)  “AND IN THAT DAY YE SHALL ASK ME NOTHING.  VERILY, VERILY, I SAY UNTO YOU,
WHATSOEVER YE SHALL ASK THE FATHER IN MY NAME, HE WILL GIVE IT YOU.”
(MATTHEW 6:9)  “AFTER
THIS MANNER THEREFORE PRAY YE:  OUR FATHER WHICH ART IN HEAVEN, HALLOWED BE THY NAME.”
(John 14:13-14).

We do not believe that memorized  prayers or long  prayers are necessary because God wants His children to talk to Him from
the heart,
(MATTHEW 6:7)  “BUT WHEN YE PRAY, USE NOT VAIN REPETITIONS, AS THE HEATHEN DO:  FOR THEY
THINK THAT THEY SHALL BE HEARD FOR THEIR MUCH SPEAKING.”

We believe that there are circumstances when God will not hear prayers from certain individuals and that He holds their prayers
in abomination, especially those who refuse to listen to or obey His holy Ten Commandment Law and the commands found in His
holy written Bible,
(PROVERBS  28:9)    “HE  THAT  TURNETH  AWAY  HIS  EAR  FROM HEARING THE LAW, EVEN
HIS PRAYER SHALL BE ABOMINATION.”
(PSALM 66:18)  “IF I REGARD INIQUITY IN MY HEART, THE LORD WILL
NOT HEAR  ME.”
 (John 9:31; Isa. 59:2).

To  maintain a  personal relationship with God, daily prayer and the daily reading of God’s Holy Bible is an absolute and vital
necessity.  We must pray at least several times a day and read from the Bible whenever possible at sometime throughout the day
or evening.
